Beyond the Office: A Weekend Getaway to Wayanad

As soon as November knocked on the door, everyone at IOCOD had one thing on their minds: the 4th weekend. Why? Because it was time to escape to the dreamy, picture-perfect landscapes of Wayanad: IOCOD Unwind24 – the much-awaited annual office trip.
Our Chronology: Travel, Fun, Eat, Relax, Repeat!
Day 1
Our adventure started right from the office on the morning of the 23rd. Breakfast? Check. Bus? Loaded and ready! Some of us were glued to our phones (gotta keep the socials updated!), some were channeling their inner DJs, and others turned the aisle into a full-on dance floor. Turns out, we’ve been hiding a whole bunch of dancing legends in our midst - who knew? Well...actually, we did! Things got so lively that even a wild tusker decided to drop by, curious about our moves.
By the time we rolled into Jungle Bay Resorts and Spa, with the sun shining down on the rolling hills of Sulthan Bathery, we were already buzzing with excitement. Check in and a hearty lunch later, we gathered up the whole crew for a classic group photo - because every great adventure deserves to be captured.
The real fun kicked off in the afternoon with a team craft activity. It was all about turning ideas into something cool, and the results didn’t disappoint! Next, we gathered for a game of cricket that really got everyone's competitive spirit going.
After that, we took some time to explore the resort. Some of us relaxed by the sparkling pool, while others played foosball, basketball, and air hockey, and a few enjoyed a stroll through the lushness. The spa was an extra treat for anyone who wanted to unwind even more. The resort truly felt like a piece of paradise.
The campfire turned our night into a celebration of friendship. Singing, dancing, and laughing beneath the starry sky – we crafted memories we’ll hold dear. After calling it a day, we headed to our rooms where the cozy beds awaited.
Day 2
The morning of the 24th began with a yummy breakfast that got us ready for another team game - Tower Wars! It was exciting and full of laughs as we worked together to win. Afterward, we packed up, checked out of our rooms, and celebrated the winners of the games.
Finally, with winners crowned and memories overflowing, it was time to bid farewell to our little paradise. But the fun didn’t stop - oh no. The ride back? It was a non-stop dance party on wheels! With tea breaks to refuel and our playlist on repeat, we grooved all the way home.

More than just a weekend getaway, it was a chance for us to see each other differently - not just as colleagues. We created memories that will stick with us long after the tan lines fade and the photos get tucked away. The best part?
